CHRIS KLACHAN

CHIROPRACTOR

Dr. Chris Klachan graduated from the University of Waterloo in 2003 with honours in Kinesiology, specializing in ergonomics. Prior to becoming a chiropractor through Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2010, he focused his efforts as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist on progressing performance and function through exercise and movement.

As a therapist, Chris administers a Functional Integrated Therapy approach, including orthopedic and biomechanical assessments to better understand patient needs. Driven by the assessment, a blend of contemporary acupuncture, Active Release Technique, fascial abrasion, kinesiology taping, and joint manipulation/pumping is used to treat both athletic and non-athletic injuries.

Chris has always been passionate about assisting with concussion symptom 2 rehabilitation and is a Shift Concussion Management provider. In the pursuit of driving performance through treatment, he has worked with ALTIS to develop his performance therapy skill set. Chris thoroughly enjoys working with the general population as well as individuals moving and competing at all levels.

From recreational runners to professionals with the National Ballet of Canada, or those competing in elite level track and field, squash, tennis, surfing, volleyball, football, and hockey, he has helped them get to the finish line, often decorated. Chris has also been a member of the US Olympic Committee sports medicine team treating athletes in the Sochi and Pyeongchang Olympics, where athletes he cared for won 5 medals.
